Jasper Riley Cavin, 78, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2012, in a local hospital. He was a retired Tech Sergeant in the United States Air Force. He was the son of the late Willard Cavin who was a longtime pastor of First United Church in Hixson. He is survived by his wife, children, nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one sister. He will be buried in Rose Hill, Va.
