Ernie Adams, age 85 of Nail, AR passed away Monday, April 9, 2007 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison, AR.

The son of Joseph and Tennie (Casey) Adams, was born January 16, 1922 at Limestone, AR. He had worked out of state and after moving back to Arkansas, he drove a bus for the Deer School and had also worked on Forest Service programs. He was a veteran of WWII, having served in the U.S. Army. He had lived most of his life in Newton County.

His parents preceded him in death, along with his wife, Aleta (Mitchell) Adams; a grandson, Travis Breedlove; seven brothers and two sisters.

Survivors are his daughter, Debrha Breedlove and husband, Jim of Valley Springs; sons, Robert Adams of Nail and Steven Adams and wife, Lisa, also of Nail; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Graveside service was held Thursday, April 12, 2007 at Deer Cemetery, Deer, AR. Bobby Young l officiated. Pallbearers were Jim Breedlove, Bradley Stone, Brock Matlock, Barry Grissom, Donnie Davis, and Donal Sams. Honorary pallbearers were Don Rowland, Kenneth Bohannon, James Pierce, Ray Lewis, and L.R. Breedlove.
