Born Nov. 2, 1916, in Altoona, she was a daughter of the late Clyde N. and Anna (Cupp) Snyder.
On June 3, 1937, in Altoona, she married Fred D. Kunes, who preceded her in death on Aug. 3, 1989, after 52 years of

marriage.
She also was preceded in death by: three sisters, Mary Hedberg, Edith Collins and Helen Badger; and a son-in-law, Robert

Hambright, in 2003. Evelyn was the last surviving member of her generation.
Surviving are: two daughters, Marjorie A. Hambright, of Burnham, and Melody K. Sorge and husband, Lloyd, of Lakemont; and

two grandsons, Ashley K. and Aden R. Sorge.
Evelyn was a 1934 graduate of Altoona High School. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Lakemont United Methodist

Church for more than 50 years, where she played the organ and taught Sunday school. She was then a member of First United

Methodist Church, in Hollidaysburg, and most recently attended Holy Communion Lutheran Church, Yeagertown.
She was fondly known as "Grams" or "Granny." She loved her God, her daughters and her grandsons. She enjoyed her short-
