Statesboro - Bobby Joe Roberts, 51, died Monday at Memorial Medical Center after a short illness. He was a native of Bulloch County and of the Baptist faith. He was employed with Robert Canty's Construction.

Survivors include his wife, Lina B. Roberts, Statesboro; one daughter, Keisha Roberts, Statesboro; two sons, LeWayne Roberts, Statesboro, and Willie L. Roberts; his parents, Booster and Magnolia Roberts, Statesboro; three sisters, Rosa D. Ford, Jo Ann Odom and Eula Mae Lamonte, all of Statesboro; seven brothers, Booster Roberts Jr., Jerry Roberts and Gary Roberts, all of Texas, Larry Roberts, Ralph Roberts, Sidney Roberts and Willie Roberts, all of Statesboro; four half-sisters, Carolyn Roberts, Cheryl Roberts and Michelle Roberts, all of Statesboro, and Bernice Robinson, Sylvania; one half-brother, Bernard Roberts, Statesboro; and five grandchildren.

The funeral will be held, Friday at 2 p.m. at the Whitesville Full Gospel Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Eastside Cemetery.
