Abbott, Lillian Doris, a resident of Boca Raton since 1954, died January 18, 2005 at a local hospital. She was born in St. Louis April 24, 1922, a daughter of Cecilia (Bouges) and Walter Abbott. After completing high school and a year of business college, she worked in Hawaii for the Navy and later for Hawaii Electric. She moved to Boca Raton in 1954 and started her own business, Secretarial Services, in 1956. Her childhood friend, Dorothy LePique joined the business as a partner and they operated it together for a number of years. Later Lillian worked for the City of Boca Raton as a secretary for 17 years, retiring in 1984. She was pre deceased by her dear friend Dorothy and a brother-in-law, James O'Brien. She is survived by her son, Dr. Charles N. Marquez, his wife Cathryn, grandchildren Daniel and Sarah of Orono, Maine, her sister Lorraine O'Brien of St.Louis, nephews Patrick, Michael, Jimmy, Stephen, Timothy and their families, two cousins, Herb Brown of Melbourne, and Joyce Taylor of Westminster, CA and dear friend Christine Strasser and her family of Boca Raton. Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at Boca Raton Cemetery. Arrangements by Kraeer Funeral Home.
