A native New Mexican, he lived in the Albuquerque North Valley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ramona and Antonio Santillanes; wife, Annie Santillanes; six brothers; and one sister. He is survived by sons, Johnny Santillanes and wife, Phyllis, Benji Santillanes and wife, Mona, Antonio Santillanes, Joaquin Santillanes; daughters, Frieda Chavez and husband, Jimmy and Virginia Santillanes; 16 grandchildren; brothers, Joe Santillanes, Robert Santillanes, Tony Santillanes, Frankie Santillanes and David C De Baca; sisters, Carmen Trujeque, Rosie Coy and Sherry Rios.
