Born Lucia Maria Carrato to Italian immigrants Michael Archangelo and Maria Domenica Serenelli-Carrato, Lucia or Lucy as she was known to her family and friends, died in the hospital on July 10, 1995 after a short illness in Community Medical Center, 99 Highway 37 West, Toms River, New Jersey.

She was predeceased by her beloved parents and her loving oldest sister Maria Josephine Carrato - all who died in tragic fireworks accidents in Mount Holly, New Jersey in 1924. Her sister Maria Josephine was only 14 years old. She also predeceased her dear brother Frank Michael Carrato.

Lucy was survived by her daughter Rosemary Valentino and her husband Daniel P. Jr., of Middletown, New Jersey and her devoted grandson Daniel P. Valentino III of Scotch Plains, New Jersey and granddaughter Donna Valentino, as well as her great-granddaughter Danielle Valentino.

Lucy was also survived by her cherished older sister Antonetta Carrato-Dandorph of Kenilworth, New Jersey, and her many nieces and nephews.

Lucy is buried in this grave with her brother Frank Michael Carrato in the Elm Section, Lot 19, Plot 22.

Frank was born on July 1, 1914 and died on November 30, 1987.

This grave is right next to that of Lucy and Frank's older sister Antonetta who was born on October 12, 1912 and who died on February 16, 2004.

There is a headstone on this grave, as well as a headstone on the grave for her sister Antonetta.
