Mrs. Maggie M. Humphrey, aged 85, resident of
De Queen, died Tuesday, Jan. 13 in Dickinson Nursing Home. Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15 at Wilkerson Chapel. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
She was born Oct. 17, 1890 and was a life-long resident of Sevier county and a member of the Rose Hill Baptist Church. She was the widow of Frank Humphrey.
Survivors are one son, James Humphrey, Texarkana; eight daughters, Mrs. Rachel Metcalf, Broken Bow, Mrs. Ressie Gibson, San Angelo, Tex., Mrs. Pearlie Miles, Texarkana, Mrs. Lorene Phillips and Mrs. Alene Bartlett, both of Houston, Mrs. Annie Manning, Mrs. Ruby Stinnett, and Mrs. Acie Blankenship, all of De Queen; 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
