Private family graveside services were held September 3, 1988, at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bremerton, Washington, for Ernest E. Sutton, 85, of Port Orchard, Washington. He died August 31, 1988, at the Long Lake Manor Nursing Home in South Kitsap, Washington.
Mr. Sutton was born June 3, 1903, in Brooks, Iowa, to Ben and Inez Morris Sutton. He moved to Portland, Oregon, in 1940 where he became a sheet metal worker and later was employed by a ship building company. In 1952 he moved to Bremerton, Washington, and was employed by the public works department at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. Mr. Sutton retired in May 1968.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Jessie Heard of Oregon and Geraldine Hall of California, and one brother, Royal Sutton, of Columbia, Missouri.
