1929 January 16 - Rockville Tribune: WARREN PHILLIPS DIES - Warren Phillips, age 71, of Wabash township died Monday evening at the county poor asylum where he had been living for the last two years. Death followed a short illness. Before going to the county farm Mr. Phillips had lived in the home of his sister-in-law, Mrs. Belle Phillips, near Mecca for a number of years. His wife died many years ago; He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Nettie Julien of Columbus, Ohio; and two brothers, Samuel Phillips of Mecca and George Phillips of California. Funeral services were held at two o'clock this afternoon at the Leatherwood church. Interment was in the Leatherwood cemetery (Arabia Cemetery).
