HEART ATTACK IS FATAL FOR ROBERT FOSTER, 50

Robert R Foster, 50, 606-10th Street died at the Story County Hospital shortly after 10 P.M.Sunday evening after suffering a heart attack about 9 P.M.

Mr Foster was stricken while walking near his home. Efforts to restore his heartbeat were successful for a time, but could not be sustained.

He had been ill from a previous heart attack for the past 4 months.

Born August 24, 1918 in Ames, he was the son of Mr. And Mrs. Oscar Foster of Nevada.

He was a printing equipment machinist and had been employed at Marshalltown and Des Moines.

He was married to Miss Phyllis McBride October 24, 1942. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Nevada Masonic Lodge No. 99 AF and AM and the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, 2 sons Rodney of Minneapolis and Richard of Cedar Falls; one grandchild, one brother Newman Foster of Ames, and 2 sisters, Mrs Lucile Mork of Arlington, Virginia and Mrs Valerie Mohler of Alexandra, Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

The body is at Ryan Funeral home where arrangements are pending.
