"Sterling Snyder, 98, tenant farmer -
Sterling G. Snyder, 98, of 113 Brubaker Road, Lititz, died of natural causes Friday at home.
Snyder was a tenant farmer and later worked as a laborer at Wilbur Chocolate from 1944 to 1970. He helped with maintenance at Machpelah Cemetery, Lititz, for eight years and also worked at Badorf Shoes as a janitor until 1991.
He enjoyed yardwork and walking the dog. He was of the Brethren faith.
Born in Chiques, Rapho Township, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Kathryn Balmer Snyder.
His wife, Bertha Beats Snyder, died in 1992.
Surviving are a daughter, Betty Douglas, at home; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Elva M., married to James McGuigan of Lancaster."
