Dorothy Mary Tyler St. Clair Twp. Dorothy Mary Tyler, age 77, finished climbing her "mountain of trials," on March 13, 2012. She always saw the top of that mountain not as a finish, but rather a beginning of a new life with Jesus. Her credo was "onward and upward", which she exhibited with enthusiasm and joy every day of her life. So many lives have been touched and blessed by her presence. She will be remembered for the heritage that she leaves behind and for the way that she lived her life. Live. Love. Care. Give. Bless. God. She was born July 11, 1934 in St. Clair, Michigan, to Justin James Diem and Dorothy Elizabeth (Marsden) Diem, both now deceased. She married Wayne R. Tyler on August 27, 1951. She attended Community Bible Fellowship. She upheld Pastor Rusty and Candis Lavendar and his parents, Rev. Malcolm and Edith Lavendar as her pillars - sources of strength, knowledge and comfort. She is survived by her husband, Wayne and six children; Connie Confer, Wayne Michael Tyler, Susan (Chalmer) Ellis, Cheri (Jeff) LaBeau-Hollander, Justin (Deborah) Tyler, Lenora Tyler, 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 2 sisters; Karen McClaren and Pamela Dore, and a brother; Charles (Buck) Diem. She is preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers; Frederick Diem, Justin Mark Diem and Paul Frederick Diem. The family would like to express extreme appreciation to Dr. John Mullully and his staff for their excellent care and support. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements by: Jowett Funeral Home - 1634 Lapeer Ave. at 17th. St., Port Huron. Memorials can be made to the ARC. www.jowettfuneraldirectors.com
