Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 13 in St. Augustine Catholic Church at Austin for Miss Catherine McCauley, former resident of Faribault who passed away at the home of her sister, Mrs. J. D. Nolan on Tuesday, June 11 at 2 o'clock in the morning, following a two weeks' illness. Monsignor Griffin officiated at the requiem high mass and interment was made in Calvary Cemetery, Faribault. Pallbearers were John, Robert, Andrew and James O'Leary and Dick and George Westra. Miss McCauley was born in Richland, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick McCauley and attended the Faribault schools. Later she was employed at the State School for the Deaf. She was a faithful member of the Rosary Society and the Missionary Society of St. Augustine Church. Members of each organization attended the services in a body. Surviving her are her sisters, Mrs. J. D. Nolan (Mary), Mrs. William Johnson (Jane), Mrs. George Westra (Elizabeth), Mrs. Edward O'Leary (Alice) and Mrs. Michael McDonald (Nell), the latter was unable to attend the services due to illness.
