(newspaper obituary) Francis Hitchcock Passed Away Quietly Tuesday
Mr. Francis Hitchcock passed away Tuesday noon at his home while quietly sitting in his rocker. Cause of death was a heart attack. He had been feeling fine and his death was a great shock to this entire community. Mr. Hitchcock was everybody's friend. He was always cheerful, always ready to help and always had a good word to say about someone. He was of sturdy stock and work was what he enjoyed most. We shall all miss him.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at the Methodist church and the body will then be laid to rest in the Bird City Cemetery.
