CUMBERLAND - Rosalie L. Abbott, 58, of Bel Air, Cumberland, died Monday, Sept. 8, 1997, at Memorial Hospital Hospice, Cumberland.
Born Feb. 14, 1939, in Gilmore, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Helen (Smith) Llewellyn.

Mrs. Abbott was a retired school teacher for the Allegany County Board of Education. For the past 18 years, she taught fourth grade at John Humbird Elementary School. Mrs. Abbott was a member of LaVale United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband, William C. Abbott; two daughters, Lynn Ann Finch and husband Ronald, Pensacola, Fla.; Cheryl D. Dawson and husband Brian, Hagerstown; four brothers, Samuel Llewellyn and wife Edna, Gilmore; Robert Llewellyn and wife Edith, Swanton; Marvin Llewellyn and wife Lesta, Lonaconing; Gary Llewellyn and wife Val, Cumberland; and one sister, Norma Byers and husband William, Barton.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, Cresaptown, on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the LaVale United Methodist Church on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Bernadette Ross officiating.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

Family requests expressions of sympathy be made to LaVale United Methodist Church, Memorial Hospital Hospice, or John Humbird Elementary School.

Pallbearers will be Robert McKenzie, Richard Mace, William Byers V, Steven Foote, Scott Llewellyn and Michael Llewellyn.
