Obituary: EMMETT L. ENGEMAN. Emmett Leroy Engeman, 77, Wathena, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 1994, at a St. Joseph hospital.
Born in Wathena, he was a lifelong resident of the Doniphan County, Kan., area.
Mr. Engeman worked as a warehouse supervisor for Phillips Roxanne, retiring in 1982, and was a member of the United Methodist Church.
A World War ll Army Air Corps veteran, Mr. Engeman was a member of American Legion Post No. 161 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 5531, all of Wathena.
Mr. Engeman was preceded in death by a brother, Walter W.; and a sister, Esther F. Reinert.
Survivors: two sisters, Mary Ramsel and Dorothy Schuman, both of Wathena; and three brothers, Milton and Wilbur, both of Wathena, and John F. of Troy, Kan.
Service: 2 P.M. Tuesday, at the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home, Wathena. Burial: Bellemont Cemetery, Wathena, with flag-folding ceremonies by American Legion Post No. 161. Family visitation: 7 to 8:30 tonight, at the funeral home.(Src: The St. Joseph New-Press, St. Joseph, Mo., January 10, 1994.)
