After a lingering illness, Mr. Charles S. Mendenhall died at his home on West Lee street yesterday morning shortly after midnight. He was 27 years old and is survived by a widow and one child. He was the son of Mr. Jabez R. Mendenhall, one f the oldest and best known citizens of Greensboro. Rev. J. Edgar Williams, of the Friends church, will conduct the funeral from the late residence of the deceased this afternoon at 3 o'clock. interment will be made in the Friends burying ground at Guilford College.
