CECILIA L. VAN METER, 90, of Fort Wayne, died Friday, March 10, 2006, at Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. Born April 3, 1915, in Leo-Cedarville, she was a housekeeper at Golden Years Nursing Home, Fort Wayne, for 15 years, retiring in 2000. She was a member of Carroll Road Chr- istian Church, Fort Wayne. Survived by her sons, Ray A. (Waunett) Lovett of Fort Wayne, David H. (Grace) Lovett of Leo and Daniel L. Lovett of Butler; daughter, Diana R. Williams of Fort Wayne; stepsons, Ron (Evelyn) Van Meter of Fort Wayne and Darrol (Kay) Van Meter of Ossian; niece, Willodean K. (Dennis) Mason of Butler; nephew, Jerry L. Smith of Leo; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank R. Lovett, in 1967; second husband, Archie Van Meter; stepdaughter, Jacqueline Hartley; father, Otto Gehrig; mother, Rosa Arnold; two stepsisters; and one stepbrother. Service is 2 p.m. Thursday at Carroll Road Christian Church, 4704 W. Carroll Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior to service. Calling is also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at McComb, Dilgard & Cline Funeral Home, 502 N. Main St., Auburn. Burial at Leo Cemetery. Memorials to Carroll Road Christian Church or Hospice Home.
