Capt Manley was a conductor on the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad, He was postmaster and Justice of the peace at Orange Park for years. He was actively engaged in the interest of Orange park and was beloved and respectyed by all the community. He leaves one son, Roy Harris, who lives in Salamanca, NY. He was a member of the Grand Army of the Republic and a member of the Order of Railroad Conductors.
