Bruce was born on Oct. 19, 1932, in Union City, Tenn., to Edward C. and Edith (Collins) Frazier.
He married Martha Williams on Jan. 24, 1953, in Pekin. She passed away on April 11, 2004. His parents preceded him in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda (Jim) Haas and Dianne (Gorden) Vehlow; four grandchildren, Jason (Shelley) Haas, Christopher Vehlow, Matthew (Christianna) Vehlow and Anne (Edwin) Schultz; three great-grandchildren, Alix Schmidt, Adison Haas and Zander Vehlow; one brother, Harold (Betty) Frazier and one sister, Sylvia (Lynn) Travelstead.
Bruce was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving during the Korean conflict. He worked at Commonwealth Edison Powerton Plant for 34 years, retiring in 1988. Bruce was a member of the Powerton Playboys, Marine Corps League and American Legion. He was a former member of the Elks and Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. Bruce loved family meals and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2012, at Henderson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kristie Peterson officiating. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial of the cremated remains will be in Lakeside Cemetery, with military honors.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Marine Corps League, 1211 Shady Lane, Pekin, IL 61554.
