---------------------------------
When I visited the cemetery, I asked the groundskeeper if he could help me find Henry and Emily. He told me that most the original records had been lost in a fire. The records had been rebuilt by volunteers walking and recording each plot by a physical inventory. He found the graves locations listed but a notation as being unmarked. He walked me over to the area and was trying to establish the plots when I looked down on a Civil War marker and it was Henry's. What a nice surprise. Emily is resting to the right of Henry as you face Henry's headstone.
The groundskeeper was very kind and went out of his way to help. He felt good to have found the marker for one who had fought for the union so long ago. I wish all cemetery workers were as thoughtful and helpful as this young man was.
