Isabella J. Gulliver was the daughter of Wellington and Jennie (Markhart) Gulliver. She was a graduate of Reese High School, and attended both Ferris State University and Michigan State Normal at Ypsilanti. She was a teacher in Tuscola County for 43 years, 29 of which were spent at Reese Elementary School. In her obituary in 1977, it said the 'Multi-Purpose Room' at the Reese Elementary School was named in her honor. She was a member of the Reese United Methodist Church, the Fairgrove Eastern Star, and the Vassar Rebekah Lodge. She passed away at the age of 87 at St. Mary's in Saginaw.
