Luanna Blanche Ivanish (Blanche), 80, died Friday, Sept. 12, 2003, at Big Sky Hospice in Billings.

Blanche was born in Boulder, Sept. 28, 1922, and later moved to Bozeman in 1940, to attend Montana State College, where she received her degree in home economics. After graduation, she moved to Malta and taught at Malta High School for 35 years.

In August of 1947, she married Louis Ivanish and was active in family life, PEO, Eastern Star, Women's Club and her church.

Blanche was preceded in death by her husband and her brother, William. Survivors include her sister, Mrs. Paul (Elsie) Byrne; her daughter, Mrs. Michael (LouAnne) Foley, both of Billings; her son, Lance of Miles City; another son, Marc of Portland, Ore.; and their families.

Services will be Tuesday, Sept. 16, 11 a.m., at Adams Funeral Home in Malta. Interment will follow at the Malta Cemetery.
