Death of Mrs. P.F. Howe
Mrs. P.F. Howe died at her home about three miles North of town, Thursday morning at 7 o'clock, after an illness of seven months of stomach and heart trouble, aged 71 years 7 months. "Aunt" Jane as she was called by most every one, was a good woman, a Christian wife and mother and her disposition was such that made happy under any circumstances and her virtues will ever live in the memory of her loved ones.
She leaves an aged husband, one daughter and four sons and a number of grandchildren and seven great grandchildren to mourn her death. Funeral services will be held at the Union Chapel church today (Friday), at 2 p.m. by Rev. V D. Neale of this city, after which her remains will be laid to rest in the cemetery at that place.
