Carolyn Omega Blalock, 72, of Centreville, died Feb. 3, 2012, at her residence.

Services were 11 a.m. today at Newman Funeral Home in Centreville, with Dr. Dennis Johnsey officiating. Burial was in Oaklawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Blalock was born Oct. 24, 1939, the daughter of Lawrence A. Freeman and Katie L. Brown Freeman. She was a homemaker and a member of Centreville United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Blalock was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Donald Albritton; and a sister, Mavis Travis.

Survivors include her husband, Clarence "Sonny" Blalock of Centreville; three sons, Darryl Blalock and wife Robin of Cumming, Ga., Bill Blalock and wife Tess of Centreville, and Mike Blalock and special friend Kelly of Centreville; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Lois Hart of Brookhaven; and three brothers, Thomas R. Freeman of Baton Rouge, Lamar Freeman of Walker, La., and Larry Freeman of Gonzales.

Pallbearers were Darryl Blalock, Bill Blalock, Mike Blalock, Lee Blalock, Josh Blalock and Ethan Blalock.
