Clarita Stephens, 82, Falmouth

Clarita Elaine Booher Stephens, 82, of Falmouth, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Health Care of Ft. Thomas.

Born in Falmouth, on August 1, 1929, to the late George and Beulah Butts Booher, on December 10, 1954, she married the late Harry Stephens who preceded her in death on February 16, 2001.

She attended grade school at both the Falmouth and Goforth schools, and graduated from Butler High School in 1947. After high school, she worked for the R. L. Polk Company in Cincinnati, until she devoted her time to raising her children, various house and business cleaning jobs, and babysitting. She was a lifetime member of the Turner Ridge Baptist Church, where she devoted her time as custodian from 1981-2001 and secretary from 1975 to present. Clarita enjoyed being a member of the Pendleton County Historical Society where she exercised her immense interest in local and family history and cemeteries. She loved Bluegrass and gospel music, singing with friends, and socializing at local restaurants, and working for and spending time with her dear friends, Mrs. Marge Chipman and Crystal Abercrombie. She was a very friendly, happy, devoted Christian woman, a loving mother and always willing to be a friend to anybody. She stood firm in her faith to God to the very end.

She was preceded in death by: parents, George and Beulah Butts Booher and husband, Harry Stephens.

Surviving are: sons, Shelby (Teresa) Stephens, Stuart (Jackie) Stephens Sr., and Barry (Julie) Stephens, all of Falmouth; grandchildren, Stacey Stephens, Stuart Stephens Jr., Laura Garrison, Lyle Stephens, Larry Fain, Becky Reese, and Kayla Lewis; great-grandchildren, Austin Doyle, Trinity Metcalfe, Gaige Smith, Piper Smith, McKinley Fain, Branson Fain, Cayden Fain, James Johnson, and Haley Johnson; sister, Judy Gregg of Falmouth; brothers, Edgar Booher of Florence and Lynn Booher of Falmouth and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services were held on Monday, February 27 at the Turner Ridge Baptist Church, with Bro. Dale Beighle officiating. Music was shared by Adarin Williams. Pallbearers for the service were Tim Smith, Stuart Stephens Jr., Larry Johnson, Jim Wright, Darrin Gregg, and Ben Booher.

Interment took place in the Bethel Cemetery, Pendleton County. Woodhead Funeral Home served the family.
