Born April 11, 1900, at Lewiston, he was the son of Alfred and Clarice [sic, Anna] Carrier Angers. A resident of this community all his life, Mr. Angers was a retired shop worker.
He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 22 of Lewiston, the Disabled Veterans, Fraternal Order of Eagles and was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church.
Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. George (Rose) Roberge and Mrs. Henry (Donalda) Toutain, both of Lewiston, and Mrs. George (Amanda) Rodrigue of Auburn.
DIED -- In Lewiston [sic], Oct. 4, 1968, Mr. Wilfred R. Angers, age 68, of 162 Lincoln St. Funeral services will be held Monday at 9 a.m. from St. Mary's Church. Remains at the Fortin Funeral Parlors, 70 Horton Street. Visiting hours 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Interment St. Peter's Cemetery.
