James "Jim" Forsee, 96, of Boonville, MO, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at Lakeview Health Care Center. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 11, 2009 at the William Wood Funeral Home in Boonville from 12:30-2:00 pm. Funeral Services will follow visitation at 2:00 pm with Rev Hal McNeal officiating. Interment will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery, Boonville.
James was born June 15, 1912 in Columbia, MO, the son of William W and Amelia Kanazter Forsee, both preceding him in death. Jim was a farmer raising hogs and cattle. He also was a painter and painted various churches in the area and Kemper Military Academy. He married Virginia Foster on December 22, 1934, whom preceded him in death on March 9, 2004. Upon his retirement, Jim moved to Boonville.
James was also preceded by two brothers and two sisters.
James is survived by his daughter, Lois Waibel and husband Gordon of Bunceton, MO; two grandsons, Rusty Waibel and wife Cheryl of Farmington, MO and Rob Waibel and wife April of Odessa, MO; four great grand daughters; two great-great grandsons; one sister, Mildred Fox of Columbia, MO.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be left to St Jude's Children Research Hospital, c/o William Wood Funeral Home, 517 Fourth Street, Boonville, MO 65233.
