James, 92, of Ionia passed away Sunday in Ionia. He was the son of Edward and Myrtle Blohm.
James married Ruby Cox November 2, 1943 in Arizona. She preceded him in death in 1998. He served in the Marine Corp. during WWII as a Master Sergeant and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Ionia.
James is survived by his step children Betty (Don) Sorgenfrei. Several step grandchildren, step great grandchildren and step great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step son, Hubert A. Poole and his sister Mildred.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Ionia with Pastor Bogda officiating.
