Margaret Large Souder, 80, a member of a prominent family, died Monday at Bryn Mawr Hospital. She lived in Bryn Mawr.
The widow of Samuel Ashton Souder Jr., she was a graduate of the Agnes Irwin School. She was the great-granddaughter of Gen. George Meade, commander of the Union troops at the Battle of Gettysburg during the Civil War.
Survivors: son, George D. Fowle; daughter, Mary F. Dawson, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Services: 1 p.m. Wednesday, Old St. Davids Church, Wayne.
