Elizabeth L. Scott, 81, 4211 W. Petty Road, died Thursday in Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born in Rankin, Ill., grew up there and came to Muncie in the 1920s.
Mrs. Scott worked in dining services at Ball State University, retiring in 1976, and previously worked many years at Ontario Silverplate, now Aero Forge. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and AARP.
Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Norma Scott (husband: Charles), Muncie; three grandchildren, Leisa Weems, Muncie, Rick N. Scott, Chatsworth, Calif., and Mark A. Scott, Texas; her great-granddaughter, Kristen Weems, Muncie; four sisters, Dorothy Rolan, Bedford, Jean Deardurff, Gertrude Rutledge and Irene Boling, all of Illinois; her brother, Richard Lindlow, Ill., and several nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Kenneth Scott, died in 1960, and a son, Charles Scott, died in 1976.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Meeks Mortuary. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Calling will be at the mortuary 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and before services Monday.
