Dr. P. L. Holman Dies Suddenly of Heart Attack
Southern Utah Loses Prominent Physician and Civic Worker
Southern Utah was deeply shocked to learn of the sudden death Tuesday morning of Dr. P. L. Holman of Mt. Pleasant. He was found dead in his bed at 6 a. m. and his passing was attributed to heart failure.
The funeral was held at Mt. Pleasant Thursday morning at 10 o'clock and burial was at Fountain Green, the place of Dr. Holman's birth. Many persons from Sevier county attended the funeral, including co-workers of Dr. Holman in the Associated Civic Clubs of Southern Utah, fellow Lions and associates in the medical profession.
Although Dr. Holman was only 41 years of age, his life had been most complete and active. He was an outstanding man in his profession, a tireless and able civic leader and recognized as perhaps the foremost citizen of Sanpete county, whose place it will be extremely difficult to fill. He had served as a director of the Associated Civic clubs since its organization and just two weeks ago was elected to the presidency of that body. He was also active in administering relief funds.
Dr. Holman is survived by his widow, two daughters, a son, his father, and seven brothers and sisters.
