Bedford, VA - Ralph M. Ketron, 49, of Bedford, VA, died in the Veterans Hospital in Salem, VA, at 6 a.m. Tuesday, following a long illness.
Born in Sullivan County, he had lived in Bedford for the past 10 years.
While living in Kingsport, he was employed by the Kingsport Press. Ketron was a veteran of World War II, having served with the US Army. He was a member of the Kingsley United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Roma Norris Ketron of the home; 4 sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Ward and Mrs. Kitty Bowman, both of Kingsport; Mrs. Genevieve Coschiganano of Los Angeles, CA; and Mrs. Lockie Bryan of Kingsland, GA; 2 brothers, Nat J. Ketron of Moneta, VA; and Russell Ketron of Boones Creek; several nieces and nephews.
Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
