Sharon Y. Thompson, 61, of Sheridan died Thursday, April 29, 2004, at her residence after a battle with cancer. Memorial services for Mrs. Thompson and her husband, Myron "Swede" Thompson, will be 2:30 p.m. Monday at Champion Ferries Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. Mr. Thompson died Aug. 28, 2003. Mrs. Thompson was born March 23, 1943, in Bottineau, N.D., to Clifford and Vivian (Olson) Patterson. She grew up and graduated from high school in Souris, N.D. She married Mr. Thompson in 1963. They lived in several places before settling in Sheridan in 1974. Mrs. Thompson worked at the Golden Steer Restaurant for more than 20 years. She enjoyed being with people. She was an avid collector of Elvis memorabilia and had an "Elvis room." Survivors include a daughter, Jodi Johnson of Sheridan; two brothers, Gary Patterson of Bottineau and Les Patterson of Souris; six sisters, Darlene Floberg of Westhope, N.D., Laurel Ricciardelli of Plano, Texas, Bette Johnson of Bertha, Minn., Diane Patterson of Spokane, Wash., Nancy Gonzales of Littleton, Colo., and Lynette Patterson of Edina, Minn.; and one grandson.
