Mary "Polly" Crockett was born November 30, 1806 in Bath County, Kentucky, the daughter of John and Jenny Cartmel Crockett, and relative of Davy Crockett, Congressman and Alamo Defender. Polly married William Worrick Cartmill in Grundy County Missouri. She passed away on July 20, 1875 in Spickard, MO and was the first of three to be laid to rest in the Cartmill Family Cemetery located on a branch of Honey Creek.
