Edna M. Smith, 86, of Poulsbo died May 6, 2001, of cancer in Poulsbo.
She was born Dec. 6, 1914, in Poulsbo to Christian and Nellie (Tarlson) Jensen. She attended North Kitsap High School.
She married Arden Smith on July 15, 1932, in Seattle. He preceded her in death in 1985.
Mrs. Smith was a nursing assistant and a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family and gardening.
Survivors include a son, Larry of Poulsbo; three daughters, Jean Nausid of Lemolo, Diane Taylor of Tracyton and Lynn Matthews of Westville, Okla.; two sisters, Colleen Swanson of Poulsbo and Barbara Page of Wills Point, Texas; a brother, Cliff Jensen of Poulsbo; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a son, Dewey; three brothers, Lloyd, Harry and Ken Jensen; and a sister, Frances Iverson.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Poulsbo Mortuary, The Stone Chapel. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, also at The Stone Chapel. Interment will be at Poulsbo City Cemetery.
