Lovingly known as "Aunt Mary" to all her nephews and neices, she enjoyed teaching them how to cook. She was in the WAVES in World War II, making altimeters for U.S. warplanes. She used the G.I. Bill to obtain her BA and MA degrees from the University of Michigan. She taught classes in typing, shorthand and computers at Dearborn High School. She was on the board of the Dearborn Schools Credit Union and a member of the Delta Pi Epsilon sorority. She enjoyed reading, golfing and traveling, visiting Germany, Japan, China, Italy and Australia. Cause of death: Parkinson's Disease.
