The son of William H. and Adelaide C. Tumbrink, he was the eldest brother of Wilma L., Margaret A., and William F. Tumbrink.

He worked in sales for Rochester Germicidal Company for 30 plus years.

A veteran of WW2, having served in the United States Army as a "radio operator," he lived in Kirkwood, Missouri, for most of his adult life.

In his later years, he resided at the Nazareth Living Center Nursing Home in South Saint Louis County.

He is buried with his wife, Virginia, in her family plot at Valhalla Cemetery. That plot is under the name "Farmer."

At his request, he and his wife, Virginia, are in unmarked graves. They had no children.
