Services for Mamie Ola Cupit Jackson, of Brookhaven, were 2 p.m. Sunday, June 4, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial at 3 p.m. today, June 7, in Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge, Ga.

Mrs. Jackson, 70, died June 2, 2006, at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital. She was born in Caseyville on June 3, 1935, to John Hiram Cupit and Corene Smith Cupit.

She was retired from her job as manager with the Holiday Inn in Brookhaven. She was a member of Mallalieu United Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Andrew James Jackson Sr.; her brother, James "Bud" Cupit; and her sister, Sarah Musick.

Survivors are her son, Andrew James Jackson Jr., and his wife, Lisa Rials Jackson, of Brookhaven; her daughters, Elaine Jackson Spence, of Roswell, Ga., and Victoria Jackson Crew and her husband Chris, of Dallas, Texas; her brothers, John Henry Cupit, of Port Gibson, Wallace Cupit, of Brookhaven, and Charles "Pete" Cupit, of Hazlehurst; her sisters, Catherine Sanders, of Vicksburg, and Lola Walter, of Natchez; her grandchildren, Shawn Spence, of Roswell, Christy Jackson Kramer and her husband Chris, of Brookhaven, and Melissa Jackson, of Brookhaven; and her great-grandchildren, Taylor Kestner, Austin Spence, Julie Kramer, Jeffrey Kramer and Jordan Kramer.

Memorials may be made to the Mississippi Heart Institute, St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital, 969 Lakeland Dr., Jackson, MS 39216.
