A. GILBERT BLACKBURN
PIEDMONT, W. Va. - A. Gilbert Blackburn, 69, of 170 West Fairview Street, died yesterday in Hopemont State Hospital, Hopemont, where he had been a patient three years.

He was a native of Elk Garden, a son of the late James and Fanny (Barricks) Blackburn.

He was a retired machinist at Luke's Westvaco plant; a member of Papermaker's Local 676; a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church here and a member of the Men's Bible Class.

He is survived by his wife, Eugie (Swoope) Blackburn; two daughters, Mrs. Nancy See and Mrs. Joyce Nichols, both of here; two brothers, Howard Blackburn, Baltimore, and Cecil Blackburn, Edinburg, Va., and four grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted there Friday at 2 p.m. by Rev Sumner Sawyers pastor of Trinity United Methodist. Interment will be in Philos Cemetery.
