Donald Duvall

TUPELO - Donald Dean Duvall, 48, died Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Sanctuary Hospice House after an extended illness. He was born on April 24, 1963 in Tupelo to James Noah Duvall Sr. and Jewel Hughes Duvall. He lived in Lee County his entire life, working as an auto salesman at Duvall Motor Co. in East Tupelo, which was owned by his father for many years until his death. He continued in the family business until recently when became disabled due to illness. He was a member of Plantersville First Baptist Church, enjoyed auctions of all types, antique cars, NASCAR, and most of all he loved his daughter, Katie, and spending time with her. He never met a stranger and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday in the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Bro. Tommy Winders and Bro. Danny Balint officiating and burial in Auburn Cemetery with Bro. Jim Holcomb officiating.

His survivors include his mother, Mrs. Jewel Duvall of Tupelo; one daughter, Katie Anna Duvall of Auburn; one brother, James N. "Buddy" Duvall, Jr. (Donna) of Belden; one sister, Jane Duvall Mason (Laine) of Belden; the mother of his child, Tammy Stuper of Auburn; one niece, Sarah Jane Mason of Belden; two nephews, James N. "Trey" Duvall, III (Jessica) of Pontotoc and Zackary Laine Mason of Belden; great-nephew, Taylor of Pontotoc; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Millard and Lois Hughes and Noon and Vera Duvall.

Pallbearers will be Carl Hamm, Jamie Reid, Daniel Hamm, B. J. Farmer, Steve Hughes, Trey Duvall, Arnie Cade and Big Joe. Honorary pallbearers will be William Richey, Randy Cruse, Joey Edwards and all new and used car dealers.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to service time Tuesday.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to be made to Sanctuary Hospice House, P.O. Box 2177, Tupelo, MS 38801. Condolences may be emailed to [email protected]
