Stephen Slawniak was my Uncle. He married my Auntie Lee during the Second World War while he was working at Crane Company. They had one son Steven. They had a resort in Antioch Illinois. After Auntie Lee passed away he moved to Bloomingdale Illinois and later moved to Berwyn to be closer to family. Everyone called him Uncle Tootsie, when my sister Roberta was a little kid she was left by his place while he was painting the fence, and to pass the time he taught her to sing "Toot Toot Tootsie, Good-Bye" and it sort of stuck. He was a wonderful person and I still miss him.
