Peggy Jean Bock 62, of Convis, Township, died on Monday, November 3, 2008, at her home.
Peggy was born on June 11, 1946, in Battle Creek, Michigan to Kenneth and Dorothy (Golden) Cross. She graduated from Lakeview High School in 1965. On November 12, 1981 she married Terry A. Bock in Marshall.
Peggy worked at the Check and Go in Battle Creek as a manager for many years. Peggy also worked at Red Lobster, Cornwells Turkey Farm, Grand Trunk Credit Union, and Cereal City Recycling. She was a cheerleading coach for many years for the Jr. League football and basketball in Marshall.
Peggy enjoyed crafts, poetry, shopping, hunting and fishing. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Terry of Marshall, daughter Lynda (Ron) Thurman of Marshall three grandchildren; Abigail, Asher, and Eli Thurman all of Marshall. She is also survived by her father Kenneth Cross of Battle Creek twin sister Carol (Steve) Elve of Lowell, Linda Cross, of Grand Rapids, and Nancy (Steve) Weiderman of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy Cross.
Visitation will take place at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-8pm with family present from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Funeral services celebrating her life will take place on Thursday at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Clare Loughrige officiating. Interment will follow at Porter Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
