Kathryn Watters Beets, age 92 of Oneida, passed away Wednesday evening, July 27, 2005 at the Scott County Hospital. Born in Scott County, Tenn., February 18, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Newt and Katie Crabtree Watters. She was a member of the First Baptist church of Oneida. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Zieglar Beets; five sisters, Pearl Smith, Maude Marcum, Virgie Sexton, Artie Watters and Maxine Jeffers; and two brothers, William H. (Bill) Watters and Arthur (Bud) Watters. She is survived by one daughter, Nancy and husband, L.A. (Blackie) Williamson; one granddaughter, Katie Williamson; and great granddaughter, Katelyn Parton both of Seymour. She also leaves many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 29, 2005 at 8 p.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, July 30 at 10 a.m. at the Carson Memorial Park in Oneida. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations to be made to: the First Baptist Church of Oneida P.O. Box 4067 Oneida, Tenn 37841. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 p.m. until the time of the funeral services at 8 p.m. at Jones & Son Funeral Home, Oneida, Tenn.
