Denver Ray Chronister, 83, of Wister, Oklahoma passed away Monday, March 26, 2012 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Denver was born June 18, 1928 in Kinta, Oklahoma to Millard L. & Perna (Fry) Chronister.

He was a veteran of the US Army serving in the first draft of the Korean War . Denver was retired from Pacific Gas & Electric of California. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Wister, Oklahoma. Denver was a beloved husband, father, granddad, brother & uncle.

Survivors include his wife; two sisters; five brothers and sisters- in-law; three stepdaughters and spouses; seven grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; sixteen nieces and nephews; other relatives and loved ones; and many beloved friends.

Services will be 10 am, Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Bethel Baptist Church in Wister, Oklahoma with Rev. Clyde Steelman and Rev. Kelly Chronister officiating. Interment will follow in San Bois Cemetery in Kinta, Oklahoma. The family will be at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.
