Richard E. Owens, 55, of 131 Arrowhead Trail died June 7, 1986, at his home. Services are 2 p.m. today at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home chapel with burial in Lakewood Memorial Park. Visitation is after 10 a.m. today at the funeral home. A native of Kansas City, Mo., and a former resident of Wichita, Kan., Mr. Owens had lived in the Jackson and Brandon area for the past 20 years.
He owned and operated The Insurance Exchange. Mr. Owens served in the U.S. Army from 1947 to 1950. He was a Catholic.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lola Owens; son, Sam Owens of Clinton; daughters, Mrs. Liz Hodges of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Kimberly Cooper of Brandon and Mrs. Helen McDonald of Jackson; brother, Joseph Humphrey of Daun, Mo.; sister, Mrs. Lee Ann Cheeney of Chillicothe, Mo.; and 11 grandchildren.
