WORLD WAR II VETERAN, IVY L. WINKLER, DIES
Funeral service will be held in Dannel Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m. Fri. for Ivy L. Winkler, 45, who died in a McKinney hospital at 3:50 a.m. Thurs.. He lived at 617 S. Elm St. Rev. R. M. Williams, pastor of East Sherman Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery* (* Memorial Park Cemetery is now known as West Hill Cemetery)
Mr. Winkler, a native of Ravenna, was employed by Mrs. Tucker's Foods before becoming ill five years ago. He was a son of the late W. H. Winkler. He was a veteran of World War II service in the Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled Veterans, and the Methodist Church.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Rubine Willis Winkler of Sherman; his mother, Mrs. Martha Winkler of Ravenna; three brothers, Ed Winkler of Savoy, Walter Winkler of Ravenna and Roy Winkler of Ropesville.
