1942-2012

Marilou Kintner, age 69 of Pensacola, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012 with her family by her side. A native of Ponder, TX, Marilou was born on November 2, 1942 to Mary and Robert Brooks. She moved to Pensacola in 1983.

She is survived by her four children, Richard "Scooter" Kintner of Pensacola, Elizabeth "Liz" (Ross) Stewart of San Ramon, CA, Robert Edwards (Andrea) of Belen, NM, and Christian Tullius of Copperas Cove, TX; her brothers, Robert (Glenda) Brooks and Jim Brooks, all of Ponder, TX; her mother of Ponder, TX; her six grandchildren; and last but most importantly, her beloved dog of twelve years, Mokey.

Mary became a special friend to anyone she met. She retired from the University of West Florida in 2009 after 15 years of excellent service. She took great pride and passion in her work, going above and beyond to help the students and their families. During her time in Pensacola, she became an avid supporter of the UWF men's and women's soccer teams, supporting them in every way that she could. Mary was a member of East Hill Church of Christ and loved to garden and crochet. She was a great friend to many and filled their hearts with love and laughter for many years. Her other passion was the Manchester United Football Club.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at FAITH CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 100 Beverly Pkwy. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Pensacola at humanesocietyofpensacola.org.
