Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Laverty and the Rev. Tim Ramsey officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.
Mr. Whitehead was a Sunday school teacher and member of the morning Bible study at First Baptist Church. He was also a Mason and a member of Gideons International. He drove the Ranger bus for Perryton Schools.
Survivors include his wife, Jessie; a son, Dr. Jerry Whitehead of Perryton; a daughter, Janice Henson of Perryton; a brother, Truett Whitehead of Plainview; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Gideons International, P.O. Box 254, Perryton, TX 79070.
